Hip-hop fans will have to wait a little longer for 50 Cent’s next official album. The G-Unit CEO has pushed back the release of his Street King Immortal album to November. In the meantime, the rapper known for his early mixtape run has free music on the way.
50 tweeted the news on Tuesday (July 3) that his official Interscope release would be put on hold with a new title, Street King Immortal. The early title 5 (Murder By Numbers) will now be offered to followers on Friday (July 6) free of charge. The rapper called the release an “appetizer” to Street King Immortal.
50 Cent released an exclusive snippet of a track to MTV called “You Will Never Take My Crown” from 5 (Murder By Numbers). The reggae-inflected number is paced by bruising 50 Cent lines like “Gram after gram, time after time, I got the grind/ I can’t help it, I got the shine.”
Aside from his new music, the rapper was recently involved in a car accident in which his SUV was rear-ended by a truck on the Long Island Expressway. He was admitted to a Queens, New York hospital on June 26 and released on the same day.
