Nicki Minaj and Drake can add a No. 1 movie to their chart-topping albums. The fourth in the animated Ice Age series, which features voices from the two Young Money stars, topped the box-office earners this past weekend, raking in $46 million.
Ice Age: Continental Drift edged out previous champ The Amazing Spider-man ($35 Mil).
Drake and Minaj, both voicing wooly mammoths, were not the only newcomers to the Ice Age family. Comedians Aziz Ansari and Peter Dinklage joined the longtime Ice Age cast of Denis Leary, Ray Romano, Queen Latifah and John Leguizamo.
The film is also performing well overseas bringing in worldwide total of $339 million. The first installment of Ice Age was released in 2002. To date, the franchise has globally taken in 2.2 billion.
