By Evonne Ermey

FX is not twiddling their thumbs when it comes to American Crime Story. After the success of The People v. O.J. Simpson the network has not only season 2, but season 3 plot lines lined up for simultaneous production.

Season 2, as previously reported, will center around Hurricane Katrina. Season 3 will focus on the 1997 assassination of fashion designer Gianni Versace, Deadline reports.

Versace was murdered outside of his Miami mansion by serial killer Andrew Cunanan, who later committed suicide.

The series will be based on the book “Vulgar Favors” by Maureen Orth, Deadline reports.
