Hey it’s Dorothy, and I’ve been taking part in a Fitness Challenge with OrangeTheory Fitness. It’s called the Battle of the Bosses, and I’m competing with 7 other local Bosses to raise money for our charities.
I’m doing it for AJ’s Kids, and I would love your help to raise money for the kids at Rady Children’s Hospital!
It’s a parent’s worst nightmare to see their child get sick or injured. It can be very scary for your little one when they have to go in, and that’s where the toys from the AJ’s Kids Crane step in. Every year AJ goes up and lives in the Crane at the Ikea parking lot until we get at least 100,000 toys for the kids at Rady Children’s Hospital. All of those toys are then put into storage and distributed throughout the year to the kids at the hospital. The toys can help ease a child’s fear, give them comfort, or be a distraction from what’s happening.
My niece was a recipient of one of those toys when she was a baby and it meant the world to her and my sister to have that bit of comfort. She still talks about it to this day, and it’s been 9 years now!
Rady Children’s Hospital is a non-profit, so they don’t have the extra funds to provide these bonuses to the kids. In addition to the toys, the monetary donations we receive go to building and improving playrooms in the hospital, chemo ducks, special spaces bedroom make overs, and more!
Any little bit helps, and if you would like to donate, it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!!! xoxo
