The presidential upset in last night’s election took many a voter by surprise.
After weeks of polls and indicators that Hillary Clinton would be the next president elect, it was shocking to wake up to a Trump presidency. The shock was not necessarily for a large chunk of the populace who promptly took to the streets, smashing windows and starting dumpster fires in a political rage.
The election, which has been one of, if not THE, most contentious in remembrance, his stirred ugly feelings in the populous – pitting neighbors, coworkers and even family members against each other. Cooler heads can be heard appealing to the citizenry to accept accept, unite and “make America great again.”
And that’s where Ellen steps in, with a message of unity prerecorded before election results came out Tuesday.
“We all love our country, we just have different ideas about what’s best for it, which is part of what makes America great,” she opines.
